GDC 2013


Hey there everyone. As the title of this article might have suggested, I’m attending the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco this year.

I received a grant from LvlUp to attend the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. As I’m attending GDC, i’m going to write as much as I can about the stuff I learned at GDC and the stuff I did in the United States during my stay in and around San Francisco.

I flew to the United States this Wednesday, since I had a few days before GDC started, I visited Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Hollywood in the meantime. That was awesome, everything is so big here in the US; The cars, streets, buildings, food.. people..

But I digress. Today I just arrived at the hotel in San Francisco. I went to the Moscone Convention Center (the place where GDC is held), just to know the way tomorrow. Grabbed some food, went back to the hotel and started planning my schedule for GDC. It’s so hard, too many awesome lectures to choose from.

Monday, I’m going to attend the “Advanced Visual Effects with DirectX 11” tutorial. It’s going to take the whole day (from 10am to 6pm). I’ve always loved computer graphics and shader programming, so I can’t wait for this 🙂

Tuesday, I’m attending the bootcamp “iOS games in a day” which teaches you from ground up how to make iOS games. I hope I don’t need a macbook or and iPhone for this bootcamp.

I still haven’t decided my schedule for the other days.
